We have updated and changed out the computers in our Family Learning Center. We now have two AWE Early Literacy Stations with over 160 different games for ages 2-8 that provide a fun way to develop and practice skills in the areas of reading, language arts, science, geography, history, music, art, and more.
Our other two computers have ELF on them. ELF is a child-safe browser which allows children onto to the Internet, but only gives them access to sites that are safe, educational, and fun. There are hundreds of great sites to visit including PBS Kids, Nickelodeon, National Geographic Kids, Lego, and more.
Our Family Learning Center computers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for up to one hour. All computers are available when the library opens, and automatically shut down 15 minutes before the library closes. Most of our computers print from a color laser printer. Users are allowed 5 free copies a day, then each copy is 10 cents a page thereafter.
