Introducing our Mobile Printing Service

The library now offers a new Internet-based printing service that allows you to print from any Internet-connected computer, laptop or mobile device to one of the library's public color laser printers. This new service utilizes a user-friendly web-based interface from which you can send your print jobs from anyplace in the world. The print service supports the printing of web pages and over 100 different file formats including popular formats like Microsoft Office Word and Excel documents and PDF files. Like print jobs sent from our public computers, each day you will be allowed to print up to 5 pages free. Each page after 5 is a charge of 25 cents a page. Once you send your print job from the web portal, go to the Circulation Desk within 2 hours to retrieve and pay, if necessary, for your print job. You can access the new service from our mobile printing page
Post updated to reflect revised price as of December 2014.

Michigan Activity Pass

The Michigan Activity Pass presented by The Library Network program is back! The Michigan Activity Pass presented by The Library Network is a partnership between Michigan's nearly 400 public libraries and more than 70 arts and cultural organizations.  Library patrons will use their valid library card to reserve and print a pass, either from home or the library. Then simply take the pass to the cultural attraction and present it to staff, that's all there is to it! Read more

Enterprise: our new library catalog

The online catalog of our holdings (along with the holdings of over 50 other public libraries in southeast Michigan) has a new interface called Enterprise.  We think you'll find that it is "smarter," easier to use, and does a better job of helping you find what you're looking for. It should work on mobile devices, too.
Please note, Enterprise is best viewed with these web browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Internet Explorer v10 or higher. It also functions well in Android web browser, Chrome for Android, Firefox for Android and Safari for iOS. (Android v4.3, iOS v7.04).

The Library has ebooks

Do you have a Kindle, iPad, Nook, or Android tablet? Did you know you can borrow ebooks from the library to put on your device? You can! Go to our Download Destination site, powered by Overdrive. You'll need to be a Waterford or Lake Angelus resident, and know your library card number and pin. And you'll likely need to use the "Help" feature at the upper right part of  the Download Destination home page to see how to do it. There are help videos available to view, also. Tip: once you're ready to check something out, if you want to find something that is available for checkout right then, use the advanced search, pick your format, check off the box that says "only show titles with copies available", and then click "search".  Due to the high demand for copies of library ebooks you'll often have to place a hold and be on a waiting list for popular titles.  If you get stuck or have trouble, come on in to the adult reference desk, or give us a call - we'll do our best to help.
