Waterford Genealogical Society

The Waterford Township Public Library is home to the Waterford Genealogical Society, which meets the first and third Wednesday of every month at 1 p.m. in the library's Community Room.  Evening meetings are also held on the second Thursday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 in the library's Conference Room.

Meetings are often based upon a theme such as types of records, computer hardware or software, or library research with one of the members sharing his/her expertise.  Time is also given over to informal discussion of members' research experiences, their recent findings and newly identified research tools. Members often pose questions to the group concerning their own research problems.

You may keep abreast of the group's activities through its free online newsletter Waterford Genie Notes which may be obtained by contacting the editor.

Meetings are free of charge.  Membership is just $10.00 which provides voting rights.  Everyone, however, is welcome to attend meetings.  Feel free to JUST DROP IN!
