How to get a library card

Eligibility

Anyone who lives, works, goes to school, or owns property in Waterford is eligible for a Waterford Township Library card.  There is no fee for a first card and replacement cards are only $.50.  Proof of residency will be required.  We will accept a driver's license with a current Waterford address, a bill or rent receipt with name and address, a tax payment receipt, or a current business card.  Other forms of identification may be accepted if bearing name and current address.

A child of any age can obtain a library card when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  An application form must be signed if the child will be getting the card when accompanied by anyone other than a parent or legal guardian.

Temporary or Non-resident cards

If you are a resident of a neighboring community whose library is a reciprocating member of the Library Network you may use your library card at the Waterford Public Library.  We can also issue a 30 day temporary card until you obtain a card from your participating library.
