Library Hours Changing

Due to budget constraints that have reduced our staff hours an additional 24% over the course of this year we will be reducing the Library's service hours. As of December 2, 2011 the Library will be closed on Fridays. While we regret this necessity, the change will allow us to reallocate the remaining staff hours to provide the best service possible. New hours:

Mon - Thu   9:00a - 9:00p
Friday         CLOSED
Saturday  10:00a - 5:00p
Sunday      1:00p - 5:00p

At a dinner party in the posh London suburb of Greenwich, Miles Garth suddenly leaves the table midway through the meal, locks himself in an upstairs room, and refuses to leave. An eclectic group of neighbors and friends slowly gathers around the house, and Miles’s story is told from the points of view of four of them: Anna, a woman in her forties; Mark, a man in his sixties; May, a woman in her eighties; and a ten-year-old named Brooke.

Technology Update - September 2011

Picture of grant computer

This past year, Waterford was one of a number of area libraries to receive funding to purchase new computers through the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program. This program combined federal stimulus funding with local dollars to allow us to replace a number of our older Internet computers with new computers to provide improved access to the Internet for our library users. One of the new grant computers is shown to the right. You'll find these new computers in our Children's area where they replaced computers that were over 6 years old. These new computers have 19" monitors and run Windows 7, the most current version of Windows available.  Read more
