Your Gardening Questions Answered

Sometimes out in the yard you may wonder:

"What is this?" orgardening photo
"Can I cut it?" or
"Is that a weed?" or
"Is there something better I should plant or put here?"

That's when it would be nice to have a garden guru at your side.

Waterford's own Master Gardener, Janet Macunovich, and her husband, horticultural photographer Steven Nikkila have 30 years professional gardening experience and an equally long run writing and teaching garden how-to, and they will be glad to find answers for you. They will be on-line from the library, accompanied by a number of very knowledgeable others -- answers are free, with no strings attached.

Saturday, April 26, 2014 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

On Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10 am to 4 pm this Instant Answer team will be live on forum.GardenAtoZ.com to handle anything you post. Snap a picture with your phone, post it and get an answer right back. Instructions for posting questions and uploading photos are there at forum.GardenAtoZ.com

If you prefer in-person advice, you're welcome to bring your question that day, with any plants or pictures that explain it, to the Waterford Township main library at 5168 Civic Center Drive. In the library's Conference Room which is off of the magazine room.

Enterprise: our new library catalog

The online catalog of our holdings (along with the holdings of over 50 other public libraries in southeast Michigan) has a new interface called Enterprise.  We think you'll find that it is "smarter," easier to use, and does a better job of helping you find what you're looking for. It should work on mobile devices, too.
Please note, Enterprise is best viewed with these web browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Internet Explorer v10 or higher. It also functions well in Android web browser, Chrome for Android, Firefox for Android and Safari for iOS. (Android v4.3, iOS v7.04).
